Re-pump project at Macclesfield

Project details: Re-pump projects undertaken for Tesco at Macclesfield and Solihull entailed the removal of old pumps and replacing them with new by Petrotec.

The pump islands were removed in their entirety as they had previously been a trip hazard for pedestrians and replaced with new model islands created in pre- cast concrete kerb upstand and brush concrete finish. Over a period of only four days, during which time the forecourt remained closed throughout, six pumps were replaced.

Additionally numerous forecourt repairs were undertaken to replace damaged hard surfaces and install new aco drainage to prevent water ponding adjacent to the entrance.

Project Period: 4 Days

Challenges: The tight schedule and heavy workload meant the pressure was on to complete the project snag free and to time. This was achieved due to extended working hours and the efficiency of the workers on site.

Client Feedback: The clients at Tesco were delighted with the results of both projects and very complimentary of the site delivery team.
