Johnson Construction has recently undertaken a rescue mission for a client who became a casualty of the recession.

A developer commenced a £2million plus conversion project of the magistrate's courts in Ashton under Lyne to high specification flats. Due to cash flow issues he was unable to progress the project to completion and accordingly his company bankers stepped in to complete the job and sell it on to recover outstanding debts.

Johnsons won the project in open tender then proceeded to value engineer the works to achieve the budget required by the banks agents to create saleable properties and rentable units to ultimately clear the developer's debt.

The project was recently completed in minimum time on a JCT minor works contract with the finishes and componentry being re-engineered to achieve the necessary financial recovery.
