Retail fit out:

Johnson have extensive experience in retail fit out and undertaken projects in many high street locations, usually in live situations with works being phased to suit daily trading operations. Detailed neighborhood plans are produced to minimise and control any impact our operations may have on surrounding premises or businesses. Johnson understand that it is essential that work is undertaken on an almost "unseen" basis as far as the public is concerned with the bulk of works carried out at night or at weekends. Additionally in areas such as shopping malls where there is very high public footfall or where people management is required, Johnson ensure co-ordination and activity integration with landlords, local authorities and fire officers. When the works demand, our structural expertise can be called upon with our in house teams designing and undertaking the works in association with the specialist fit out teams.

Commercial, Hotels & Leisure:

Often, clients require city center office re-fits and other additional structural works to upgrade or extend existing facilities. The Johnson team has extensive experience operating in these densely populated and highly trafficked environments. Special attention is given to external traffic management, offloading and deliveries with detailed negotiations being undertaken with local authorities, police and traffic control. When undertaking works in multi storey offices, detailed pre-planning is undertaken with negotiations taking place between landlords, their agents and any adjacent occupants that may be impacted by the works. All operations are phased to deliver the requirements as quickly as possible and with the minimal impact on daily work patterns, often out of hours or at weekends when required.

Construction:

Works include all aspects of the construction process undertaken according to the standard RIBA outline plan of work sequence. The Johnson in house team cover all aspects of this process with works being undertaken on projects such as large steel portal framed units often constructed for industrial or warehousing processes, multi storey concrete framed units for office or commercial use, structural alterations both internal and external using all traditional construction materials. Our in house engineers undertake all aspects of site engineering with earth moving, contamination removal and earth re-grading works undertaken when situations demand.

Banking

Our team in the Midlands office have many years of experience of retail and commercial bank fit out works. The team recognise that retail banking is a fast moving environment with the need to continually update and modify premises to suit the ever changing demands of the public. We have developed sympathetic methods of working alongside clients to deliver refits as quickly as possible and mostly in live environments. It is recognised that our works have to be completed to suit both client and public needs to maintain the business throughout the re-fit process.

Modular Solutions

Modular construction is widely used for temporary as well as permanent buildings and covers retail projects, hospitals, hotels, student accommodations and office buildings. The design and manufacturing processes allow the manufacturers to better control the flow of materials and, by involving their supply chain, ensure that the resources necessary for the construction of modules are efficiently used. This integrated design, procurement and management can help significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
